Sometimes, you open up the fridge but nothing really jump-out at you and say EAT ME or COOK ME!
You are just not in the mood of cooking but you still have to cook, someone is waiting for their dinner.
Try this recipe, it is so easy to make and very tasty.
What You'll Need
1 big white Onions
1 inch ginger
3 garlic clove
2 red chilli
2 star anise
4 tbsp sweet soya sauce
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
2/3 tbsp olive oil
First clean and cut the chicken into 8 pieces, and coated them with turmeric powder, salt and pepper.
Then slice the onion, thinly slice the ginger, crush the garlic clove and roughly pound the red chilli.
Heat the pan with Olive oil, add the chicken pieces and brown them all over. Then add the onion, ginger, garlic, red chilli and star anise stir well, cook for at least 5 min then cover. Let it cook for another 15 min, stirring occasionally then add sweet soya sauce, stir well.
Let it cook for another 10 minutes uncovered or until the sweet soya sauce incorporated with the chicken nicely.
Serve with some rice and vegetables on the side and of course, the sambal goreng.
